Two people have died and four others have been injured with less serious diagnoses this Sunday afternoon in an accident between a van and a car on the A-2 in Jorba (Barcelona), according to the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT) in a statement.

The Mossos d’Esquadra received the crash alert at 17:35 hours and, three hours later, road disruptions continued at the accident site, with one lane closed towards Barcelona. The causes of the accident are under investigation, according to Trànsit. The injured have been taken to the Igualada Hospital.
On Saturday, a 56-year-old man and resident of Castellar del Vallès (Barcelona) died after crashing his motorcycle on the Bv-5301, in the municipality of El Brull (Osona).

Trànsit notes that so far this year a total of 47 people have lost their lives on Catalan roads, of which 18 were motorcyclists.
