Ukrainian drones attack a warehouse of the Russian e-commerce giant Ozon for the first time

At least six civilians died in the last hours in a wave of Ukrainian drone attacks in various parts of Russia that also targeted for the first time a warehouse of Ozon, the country’s e-commerce giant, Russian regional authorities and Kiev military sources reported on Saturday.

In a statement reproduced by the Reuters agency, Ozon detailed that activities at its logistics center in the city of Samara, in southwestern Russia, near the border with Kazakhstan, had been interrupted on Saturday by the attacks. It is the first time this company has been targeted by Ukrainian drones although its main competitor, Wildberries, known as the Russian Amazon, has been attacked several times in recent weeks.

In a message published on the Telegram network, the governor of Samara, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said that several people had been injured in the attacks.

On the other hand, in the Krasnodar region, in southern Russia, two children died and two adults were injured in a bombing in the port town of Yeysk, on the Sea of Azov. At the same time, the governor of the Belgorod region, bordering Ukraine, explained that two people had died and another 13 were injured in Ukrainian attacks in the last hours. In Luhansk, a province in eastern Ukraine practically controlled by Russia, the governor appointed by Moscow, Leonid Pasechnik, said that two civilians, one of them a 16-year-old teenager, had died and there were several injured after several Ukrainian attacks. In total, the Russian Ministry of Defense counted a total of 457 Ukrainian drones shot down during the night.

On Friday night, at least 15 people died and more than a hundred were injured in a Russian attack on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
