With a “Concert for Venezuela,” the renowned composer and conductor Gustavo Dudamel will say goodbye to the Los Angeles Philharmonic on Sunday. The concert will serve to raise funds for Venezuelans affected by the devastating earthquakes that caused thousands of deaths at the end of June. “Venezuela will always be my home and, at every moment, my thoughts are with the families whose lives have been changed forever by this tragedy,” the musician expressed on his official page.

The event will be at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles at 7:00 p.m. and will raise funds that will be channeled to Venezuela with the help of the United Nations Development Programme and the Development Bank for Latin America and the Caribbean, according to official information. “Every person who joins us and every contribution made will be a reminder to Venezuelans that they are not alone,” the statement on the website adds.

That night, artists such as Beck, Eduardo Betancourt, Meme del Real from Café Tacvba, Jorge Glem, Natalia Lafourcade, Lasso, Moisés Torrealba, and Carlos Vives will accompany Dudamel on stage.
