Lluís Llach, president of the Catalan National Assembly (ANC), has been the most voted name in the internal elections of the pro-independence entity, which must renew the composition of its governing body, the national secretariat. This is revealed by the provisional results of the votes, which began last Tuesday and concluded this Saturday at 2:00 p.m., with the participation of 2,322 members, pending the internal electoral board making the definitive results public next Thursday, as indicated by the ANC in a statement.

Llach, with 1,972 votes, is the candidate who has garnered the most support among the 76 names provisionally chosen to be part of the new national secretariat, although this does not automatically grant him the presidency of the entity for a new term.
The chosen national secretaries will meet next April 25 in Igualada (Barcelona) to hold the constitutive plenary session of the new leadership, in which the four organic positions will have to be elected: presidency, vice-presidency, treasury, and secretariat. To be elected, they must obtain the support of two-thirds of the secretariat in the first and second votes, or an absolute majority from the third.
Behind Llach, the most voted were Joan Matamala (1,285 votes), Ariadna Heinz (1226), Mercè Llobera (1,010), and Pere Pugès (931).
