An accident involving three cars has forced the closure of the AP-7 towards Barcelona at the height of El Papiol (Barcelona) and its access to the B-23 this Saturday afternoon. According to the Catalan Traffic Service, there have been traffic jams since 16:30 from Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).

The emergency number 112 received the alert of this accident at 16:05 and the Generalitat Firefighters are working with 7 teams to extricate several people trapped inside the accident vehicles. Two people have already been freed and two others are still trapped in their vehicles, according to the Catalan Traffic Service and the Generalitat Firefighters.

On the other hand, there are traffic jams on the same road, in the municipality of El Vendrell (Tarragona), northbound, with one lane closed to traffic, due to another accident.
