A 16-year-old minor has died after being run over in Castelldefels (Barcelona) during the early hours from Friday to Saturday, and the driver involved, who had fled the scene, has been arrested at his home, the Castelldefels Local Police reported on Instagram.

The accident, involving three people, occurred around 00:05 in the Lluminetes area, where Local Police, Mossos d’Esquadra, and the Medical Emergency System (SEM) personnel were dispatched.
As a result of the run-over, a 16-year-old young man died from the injuries sustained, while the other two people involved were injured and received medical attention.

The vehicle driver fled the scene and was later located at his home, where he was arrested by the officers. The Local Police have taken charge of the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident and determine the causes of the run-over.
