According to the public prosecutor’s indictment, to which EFE has had access, Aguado, 28 years old, assaulted the woman in the early hours of June 24 in the men’s restroom of the Opium nightclub in Barcelona, despite the victim, who was in “a state of shock,” asking him to “stop,” that she “did not want to have sexual relations.”
The victim, the document states, explained in her statements that she did not remember everything and had “specific memories” of the events, which occurred during the first team’s celebration party for their promotion to the First Division of the League, on June 24, 2024, in a Barcelona nightclub. The young woman admitted to having drunk alcohol, which she was not accustomed to, and having smoked from a hookah, and that she had told a friend that she did not like Aguado and did not want to dance with him.
Aguado admitted to having consensual sexual relations with the woman and claimed that it was she who “lunged” —according to the auto— at him, that he was not feeling well, and that once she entered the bathroom, she closed the door, reopened it, and told the player: “don’t you dare?” In June 2025, the club announced that his contract would not be renewed.
