The CC OO de Industria and UGT FICA unions have called off the strike at service stations across Spain planned for April 30 and May 3, coinciding with the May Day long weekend, after reaching a “historic” agreement in the collective bargaining agreement.

According to a press release from CC OO de Industria, this pact, reached during mediation held at the Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service (SIMA), includes salary increases of 6.4% over the three years of the agreement, CPI guarantee, reduced working hours, and improved working conditions.
Specifically, the agreement sets salary increases of 3.4% in 2025, 2% in 2026, and 1% in 2027, all with retroactive effects from January 1 of each year, reaching a cumulative increase of 6.4%.

In addition, it incorporates a salary review clause for 2026 and 2027 that guarantees the real CPI, up to 6% annually and without downward revision, and achieves a reduction in annual working hours throughout the validity of the agreement.

Various supplements are also improved: the holiday bonus increases by 2 euros from 2026; the distance bonus will reach 0.13 euros in 2027; the cash shortage allowance is set at 667 euros annually in 2026 and 2027, and the cleaning bonus will have a minimum of 30 euros.
In the social sphere, the regulation of early retirement is updated, facilitating access up to one month before ordinary retirement and reorganizing the payment of premiums in four semi-annual periods. Similarly, labor guarantees are reinforced with the obligation of a prior hearing of up to five working days before any dismissal.
The agreement incorporates new regulations in the disciplinary regime, linked to working hour registration and communication of absences, always under the principle that companies must guarantee the necessary means.
The parties have committed to finalize the definitive wording of the agreement within a maximum period of 30 days. As a direct consequence, the unions have decided to call off the strike planned for April 30 and May 3. CC OO de Industria and UGT FICA value this agreement as a “forceful advance that reinforces rights, protects salaries, and demonstrates that the combination of negotiation and pressure are effective tools to achieve real improvements.”
