Correos has accepted 178,540 postal vote requests from citizens who wish to exercise their right to vote by this system in the elections to the Parliament of Andalusia to be held on May 17.

Of the 178,540 accepted postal vote requests, 97,829 have been processed in the network of post offices and 80,711 electronically through the Correos website, using electronic signature and accepting as valid identification systems the personal certificates recognized by the Ministry of Industry or the electronic DNI.
According to the entity in a statement, these figures represent a 1.11% increase compared to the 176,583 requests submitted in the previous regional elections held in Andalusia on June 19, 2022.
As of today, Correos has already made available to voters 156,253 electoral documents so that they can exercise their right to vote.
After verifying the registration of applicants in the Census, the Provincial Delegations of the Electoral Census Office in Andalusia continue sending the shipments with the electoral documentation —certificate of registration in the census, envelopes, and ballots of all candidacies— to the address indicated by the voter in the request, by certified and urgent mail.
The Census has until May 10 to deliver these shipments to Correos, which will continue making them available to citizens as it receives them. The Correos postman will make at least two attempts to deliver this documentation by hand to the recipient, leaving a notice to pick it up at their office if hand delivery was not possible. Correos staff will verify the voter’s identity using the DNI, passport, or driver’s license and will record the identification document number, certifying the receipt of the envelopes and ballots with the signature of the delivery by the applicant.
