Reality star Khloé Kardashian regrets the last favor she did for her ex-husband, Lamar Odom: the entrepreneur also participated in the former NBA player’s latest documentary, Exposed: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom, released on March 31 on Netflix. Kardashian and Odom were married from 2009 to 2016, and she lived through his drug addiction problem with him. In 2015, she had already filed for divorce when Odom suffered an overdose at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada, which caused him 12 strokes and 6 heart attacks. Kardashian decided to halt the legal process to stay by his side and help him with medical decisions, hospital bills, and rehabilitation. She has shared everything in Exposed.
But not even a month has passed since the premiere, and she said, in the latest episode of her own podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, that she feels “used,” “so dumb,” and “so angry” for having gotten involved, after Odom has refuted several of the statements she made in the documentary. “I think what bothers me is that we did this and everything was fine. I thought: ‘I will never do anything related to Lamar again, because I’m fine now.’ But now Lamar is giving interviews and saying he’s upset with me. He claims or implies that I’m a liar, all these things, discrediting me, saying I wasn’t the one who helped him,” she said on her show.
On April 6, on the Today show, Lamar Odom said he didn’t believe his own father ― a heroin addict who abandoned him as a child ― was capable of telling doctors to disconnect him from life support, an anecdote Kardashian recounts in the documentary. Also, when asked if he believed she had saved his life, he answered: “In a way. God saved my life. My Lord saved my life, honestly.”
“I was willing to do the Netflix thing for Lamar. I didn’t make a cent from it. I had no interest in this dispute. I didn’t care whether this documentary was made or not. I didn’t care. And it wasn’t something I really wanted to keep talking about,” adds the entrepreneur from The Good American. “The only thing I did was tell the story you asked me to tell, but then coming to disrespect me and act like I didn’t do any of what I did, implying that I’m a liar, is crazy. I felt like I was used.”
And she adds: “Do people think I like talking about this all day? No, it’s traumatic. I would never expose someone if it wasn’t my place to do so. I kept all that to myself for 11 years, or however long it was. Lamar asked me to make this documentary. I did it for him. But now you’re not going to come and talk badly about me or disrespect me just because you don’t like the reaction and the public’s response,” she recounts.

In the documentary, Odom mentioned that one of the reasons he got married was to “improve his future” thanks to his partner’s “incredible contacts” and “lifestyle.” Also, that he had the idea to make a reality show about their life as a couple, to reach the Kardashian level of fame. “You ask me to participate in your documentary and, behind the scenes, you and your friends say you were with me just for the fame? I feel so dumb,” Kardashian says in the podcast.
Khloé Kardashian is tired of relationships. In 2021, she ended her relationship with Tristan Thompson, the father of her two children, after multiple infidelity scandals involving the NBA player. “People always ask me: ‘Why haven’t you dated in four years?’ And I tell them: ‘Let’s go back ten years and I can tell you who I’ve been with and the trauma it caused me and that haunts me daily,’” she says on her podcast. “Would you dive headfirst into your next relationship or would you be immersed in watching your precious children grow and creating unforgettable memories for a lifetime?”
