José Manuel Poga and Julián Villagrán are the protagonists of the first fiction series created by investigative journalist Carles Porta, based on the true story of the escape of two prisoners from the Ponent prison in Lleida. Nausica Bonnín and Pau Durà play agents Clara Moyano and Pau García, leading the investigation. The cast is completed by Blanca Parés, Xavi Sáez, Alba Pujol, Joan Solé, Guillem Balart, and Guillem Albasanz, among others.
Juan José Prieto (José Manuel Poga) and Mateo Calatrava (Julián Villagrán) are the protagonists of a thrilling escape that kept the entire Catalan Autonomous Police on edge during the 33 days they resisted cornered in the mountains until their arrest. Two fugitive prisoners who, in October 2001, escaped from the Lleida prison with a plan designed over months manage to activate all state security forces and keep the population alert.
The series recreates this escape, inspired by the real one, focusing on the Mossos investigation team and the fugitives themselves, whose plan becomes complicated and must improvise. The Mossos, a newly created police force, are questioned by other institutions that doubt their inexperience. Criticism intensifies as the escape becomes complicated, and the wear and frustration begin to undermine those involved.
In their thorough investigation, the Mossos discover the unusual relationship that develops between Prieto, a ruthless criminal, and Calatrava, an addicted, sensitive, and educated delinquent, whom he ends up protecting in prison from others and even from himself. An escape in which we delve into the game of admiration and dependencies woven between them, a relationship so intense and passionate that it provokes an unexpected outcome.
