After an unexpected journey to the past that left Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia (Hermione Corfield) lost and separated in the vast Highlands of 18th century Scotland, the first season ended with their reunion before the menhirs of Craigh na Dun, hoping to return to their own time with their little daughter, Claire. The second season picks up the story at that moment. Separated from his love and hope, Henry must deal with his mental health while struggling to find his way back to Julia.

‘Outlander’ finds its new life in its past
Meanwhile, the forbidden relationship between Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) seemed to overcome all obstacles, but their romantic getaway was cut short when the burning crosses were lit and the Jacobite uprising of 1715 began, plunging the clans into war. In the first season, they chose each other over their families, but now they must prioritize their loyalty to the clan, as Brian fulfills his duty to fight and Ellen seeks to make amends with her family. As the second season progresses, the two young couples will be tested and separated once again by forces beyond their control, as each clan chooses a side in the rebellion.
