The night leaves two seriously injured in two fights, one in a nightclub and another next to the Puerta del Sol

Saturday night left two seriously injured in separate fights, one from a stab wound and the other from a blow to the head. The stabbing victim was involved in a confrontation with another man who carried a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the back. The one who suffered the blow to the head argued with a group of young people outside a nightclub and was seriously injured in the fall. The perpetrators of both assaults have been arrested.

The fight with the knife took place on Carretas street, a few steps from Puerta del Sol, around six in the morning. According to testimonies collected in the area, the victim approached a girl and her boyfriend reacted in the worst possible way, according to police sources. Both started arguing and the boyfriend pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the back. Samur-Civil Protection had to attend to the victim.

Police officers found the knife used in the assault behind a column and arrested the man as responsible for an assault charge. The detainee is a man of Peruvian origin born in 2000 with a criminal record, and the victim is a Moroccan male born in 2005.

Sources from Emergencias Madrid reported that the assaulted young man had a stab wound in the back, specifically in the left kidney area. Therefore, he had to be transferred as a potentially serious patient to Gregorio Marañón Hospital.

The other assault took place outside the Colonial nightclub on Paseo de la Florida, in the Príncipe Pío area, around half past five in the morning. According to various testimonies collected in the investigation, the victim was intoxicated and had been expelled from the venue. When outside, he encountered a group of young people with whom he had a confrontation that escalated. One of the members of this group, 20 years old, struck the victim, who hit his head on the ground.

The man, about 26 years old, was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Samur-Civil Protection attended the young man for a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury after the fall caused by the assault. The man had to be intubated and transferred to the Clinical Hospital, according to Emergencias Madrid.

Sources from the National Police detailed that when police officers arrived, they found the man, of Spanish origin, lying unconscious on the ground with bleeding from the ear. The alleged assailant is a man of the same age, also Spanish, who slapped him. The attacker has been arrested as the suspected perpetrator of an assault charge.
