August marks the beginning of a new application period for Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro, the Mexican Government program aimed at people between 18 and 29 years old who neither study nor work. During this stage, those who have already completed their registration can apply to companies, businesses, workshops, organizations, and public institutions to undergo training for up to one year.

Who can participate?
The program is aimed at young people who meet the following requirements:
- Be between 18 and 29 years old
- Not be studying or employed at the time of joining the program
- Have official identification and CURP
- Register on the official Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro platform and complete the registration process
When does the call open?
The application period started on August 1.
How much money do beneficiaries receive?
Apprentices receive a monthly financial support of 9,582 pesos. This amount is updated each year according to the increase in the minimum wage. The deposit is made directly into the bank account assigned to the beneficiary once their participation in the program is verified. Usually, the payment is made around the 28th of each month, although the date may change due to operational reasons or if it coincides with non-working days.
In addition to the financial support, participants have IMSS medical insurance throughout the training period, covering illnesses, maternity, and work-related risks.
How many hours are worked?
The training involves a workday of between five and eight hours daily, five days a week. The specific schedule depends on the selected workplace and must be agreed upon between the tutor and the apprentice, respecting the guidelines established by the Ministry of Labor.
The activities do not constitute an employment relationship but are a practical training process aimed at developing professional experience and strengthening the participants’ skills.
How long does the training last?
Each beneficiary can remain in the program for up to 12 months. During this time, they receive support from a tutor responsible for evaluating their performance and recording their progress monthly on the official platform.

At the end of the training period, participants receive a document certifying the skills acquired. However, the program does not guarantee employment by the workplace.
How to register?
Registration is done exclusively on the official Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro platform. Interested individuals must select the option “Register as an apprentice,” complete and confirm their general information, register the exact location of their home on the platform’s map, and upload the requested photograph.
The next step is to download and accept the commitment letter to complete the registration. Once the linking period begins, they can log in again to the platform to check available workplaces and apply to the training plan of their interest.
After applying, the applicant must contact the workplace to schedule a meeting. From that moment, the workplace has four calendar days to accept or reject the application. If rejected, the person can apply to another available spot.
