The National Lottery is one of the most recognized and traditional draws in Spain. It is held every Thursday and Saturday and its origins date back to 1811, when it was created with the aim of raising funds during the War of Independence.

The ticket corresponding to the draw on Thursday, August 27, 2026, is dedicated to the 500th Anniversary of San Bartolomé de las Abiertas, a small municipality in the province of Toledo. According to the City Council on its website, the name of the town was decided five hundred years ago by drawing lots.
Today, the draw is part of SELAE and distributes several prizes, among which the main one of 300,000 euros per series stands out, in addition to countless complementary prizes.

What are the prizes of the National Lottery?
Main prizes:
- First prize: 300,000 euros per series (30,000 euros per ticket).
- Second prize: 60,000 euros per series (6,000 euros per ticket).
Secondary prizes:
- Four 4-digit draws, awarding 750 euros per series (75 euros per ticket).
- Seven 3-digit draws, with a prize of 150 euros per series (15 euros per ticket).
- Nine 2-digit draws, distributing 60 euros per series (6 euros per ticket).
Refunds
To participate in the draw it is essential to buy a ticket. Each ticket includes a unique number and will only be awarded if it matches one of the winning combinations. Depending on the numbers matched in the different draws, the prize may belong to the main categories or to the secondary categories.
