Judeline (Los Caños de Meca, Cádiz, 23 years old) has reached one of the greatest international milestones in recent Spanish music this Monday. The singer and songwriter from Cádiz has become the first Spanish artist to reach number one on Spotify’s Global Top 50 thanks to BbY WOW, her collaboration with Colombian Karol G (Medellín, 35 years old) and Rusowsky (Valladolid, 27 years old), which has already accumulated more than 51 million streams since its release.
The song has topped the platform’s global chart since Monday ahead of Dai Dai by Shakira featuring Burna Boy and Beauty And A Beat, by Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj.
The achievement has placed Judeline, the stage name of Lara Fernández Castrelo, in a very small group of Spanish musicians who have managed to conquer Spotify’s global number one spot. Before her, only two Spanish artists had achieved this: Quevedo, in July 2022, with Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52, alongside Bizarrap, and Íñigo Quintero, in October 2023, with Si no estás.
Until now, no Spanish female singer had managed to reach the top spot. Rosalía came close with La noche de anoche, her collaboration with Bad Bunny released at the end of 2020, which reached number two on the global chart. The Catalan artist also reached number five with Despechá in 2022 and, a few months ago, with La perla.
BbY WOW is part of No me arrepiento de sentir tanto, the album Karol surprisingly released on August 7. Judeline’s participation in the album goes beyond that of a guest artist; the Spanish singer is also credited as co-writer of three other songs on the album: Final feliz, Matadora and Te llevas to.

“Honestly, it’s hard to believe that a song we recorded just a month ago is already at the top of the charts,” Judeline said in a statement. “Everything that has happened around BbY WOW has happened so fast that I am still processing it.”
This milestone represents a new international leap for an artist who, in just a few years, has managed to become one of the most unique voices of her generation, with music that naturally moves between electronic music, Latin sounds, and flamenco.
The collaboration with Karol G has also taken Judeline to the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time, where BbY WOW reached number 38. The track also leads the Hot Latin Songs, Latin Streaming Songs, and Hot Latin Rhythm Songs charts.
