Javier Alonso, contestant of Pasapalabra, has decided to leave the Antena 3 program for personal reasons. This was announced by its presenter, Roberto Leal, at the beginning of Tuesday’s broadcast. From this moment on, his place is taken by one of the most remembered veterans of the format, Moisés Laguardia, who last participated in 2024.
As dictated by the rules of the contest, if the 38-year-old from Madrid wished to return, Alonso would have to go through the blue chair test again. He won it in February 2026, when he joined the show. From his first day, he stood out for a great performance in the final test of the show and has experienced, alongside David Trigo, who has been competing since April, the transition from El rosco to the new AlaZ test. Despite his good work, he did not manage to win the Pasapalabra jackpot during all this time.
In the program aired yesterday and recorded months ago, the contestant from Madrid sent an unexpected dedication to his colleague David Trigo just before competing in AlaZ. “I wanted to thank David, because I share many hours with him here and we have a great time. I wish him all the best and all of you, in general, all the best,” Alonso commented at the end of Monday’s broadcast.
“Javier has been the best colleague I could have. For me, he is a friend forever,” David Trigo reacted to the news announced by Roberto Leal.

In addition to having studied Law and Business Administration and Management, he completed a Higher Degree in Lyric Singing and has studied piano. It was his mother who signed him up for Pasapalabra, he told Roberto Leal during one of the episodes.
