Agents of the National Police, in a joint operation with the Madrid Municipal Police, have arrested six men aged between 20 and 27 as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of assault, belonging to a criminal organization, and against public health. The police investigations culminated in six raids and searches, where a huge amount of materials related to violent youth gangs (necklaces, symbols, internal rules…), as well as weapons, narcotic substances, and cash were seized. According to sources from the investigation, this is a settling of scores between members of the youth gang Dominican Don’t Play based in Madrid.

The investigation began on February 20, following a serious stabbing in a leisure area frequented by young people and located in the Latina district of Madrid, specifically on Padre Piquer Avenue. An individual, accompanied by five other subjects, got out of a vehicle and attacked a person from behind with a large bladed weapon. The victim is a 33-year-old Dominican young man who, after spending two months in the ICU of a Madrid hospital, managed to survive.

The investigators’ inquiries served to identify the car involved in the events, as well as its occupants, determining that all of them were part of a violent youth gang: one young Argentine, another Romanian, another Colombian, and three Spaniards of Latin descent. All were registered by the gang section of the Provincial Information Brigade of Madrid. This criminal group was dedicated to drug trafficking and was involved in various similar violent crimes committed previously.

On August 11, six raids and searches were carried out at the homes of the people involved in the above-described events. Among the seized items were various narcotic substances, simulated firearms, bladed weapons, cash, mobile phones, numerous SIM cards, and items such as clothing or documents linking them to their involvement in violent youth gangs.
