Sunday of shocks on the roads of Madrid. On one hand, a 21-year-old young man was seriously injured after suffering an accident with his motorcycle, which went off the road within the municipality of Tres Cantos, according to a spokesperson from 112 Comunidad de Madrid who informed this newspaper. On the other hand, a 55-year-old cyclist is in serious condition and another, of the same age, is lightly injured after suffering a fall in another traffic accident in Valdemorillo, according to the same spokesperson.

The motorcyclist’s traffic accident occurred around 9:15 on the M-607 or Colmenar Viejo road, which connects Madrid with Navacerrada, at kilometer 21, within the Tres Cantos area. The 21-year-old lost control of the motorcycle and went off the highway.
”When he was taking a curve, the young man went straight and crashed into a concrete wall,” the spokesperson detailed. The man suffered multiple injuries and, upon the arrival of Summa 112 medical personnel, he was found in cardiorespiratory arrest. “They were resuscitating him and after 20 minutes they reversed the arrest, stabilized him, and transferred him in very serious condition by helicopter to the 12 October hospital in Madrid,” the same source added.
On the other hand, two cyclists were injured, one seriously and the other lightly, in an accident in the Madrid town of Valdemorillo that ended with both on the asphalt, according to a spokesperson from 112 Comunidad de Madrid who informed this newspaper. The fall occurred when the two men were riding on the M-600, which runs through the west of the region, connecting municipalities from Navalcarnero to Guadarrama.

“Around 11:35 we received a call at 112 about an accident in Valdemorillo, a road exit of some cyclists on the M-600 at kilometer 18,” the spokesperson indicated. A UVI and a Summa helicopter, as well as Civil Guard agents, were dispatched to the scene.
The personnel found one of the cyclists, 55 years old, with serious injuries. This injured person was stabilized and transferred by helicopter to the Puerta de Hierro hospital in Madrid. Another man, also 55 years old, was also treated and suffered minor injuries and did not require transfer. “Fortunately, the injuries he had were only abrasions and he was discharged on site,” he added.
