Spain faces Chile in the capital of the South American country this weekend in the second round of Davis Cup qualifiers. The national team, with an average age of 23, will be led by Rafa Jódar. In addition to the Madrid-born tennis player, Dani Mérida, Martín Landaluce, Jaume Munar, and Pedro Martínez are also part of the team. The squad will be coached by David Ferrer, who has been in charge since 2023. The quintet will seek to advance to the final phase of the competition, which will be held in Bologna during November.

On Chile’s side, Alejandro Tabilo, Cristian Garín, Tomás Barrios Vera, and Matías Soto will play. The South American team will be captained by double Olympic champion Nicolás Massú.

- On Saturday, September 19, starting at 18:00 (Spanish peninsular time), Chilean tennis player Alejandro Tabilo will face Spanish player Daniel Mérida in the first singles match. - On Sunday, the 20th, the singles matches will conclude with the matchups Alejandro Tabilo-Rafa Jódar starting at 17:00 (Spanish peninsular time) and Cristian Garín-Daniel Mérida, which will begin 15 minutes after the end of the first match.
