The National Police reported this Monday the arrest in the municipality of Arona, Tenerife, of a fugitive considered dangerous, against whom there was a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) issued by the Polish authorities. The arrested person was wanted for more than 40 crimes, including crimes against persons, drug trafficking, fraud, and illegal manufacture and possession of weapons, which carry a maximum cumulative sentence of up to 485 years in prison.
The investigation began in September 2025, following a request for cooperation from the Polish authorities regarding the possible presence of the wanted person in Spain. According to police sources, the fugitive used high security measures to avoid being located and arrested. After months of investigation, agents managed to locate him in the Tenerife town of Arona, where he resided with his wife and two children.
The suspect managed to evade agents on two previous occasions. In one of them, upon noticing a possible police presence when leaving his home, he fled precipitously into the house and jumped from a rear balcony at a height of five meters, managing to escape.
The second escape occurred in February, when he was located during a routine traffic stop. The man was using false documentation and, upon being discovered, fled in his vehicle, endangering agents and other road users. During the escape, he hit several vehicles before managing to get away.

After these attempts, investigators again located the fugitive hidden in a house located on a dead-end street, a circumstance that, according to the Police, facilitated a possible escape if the presence of agents was detected. The arrested person remained constantly alert, avoided moving away from the home, and kept the entrance door open at all times.
Finally, last Wednesday, a police operation was established involving the Special Operations Group (GOES). Agents managed to arrest the fugitive when he had moved a few meters from the entrance of the house while walking his dog. The man tried to flee on foot back to the home, but he was intercepted and arrested without any injuries.
