La ola ultra, the documentary series signed by EL PAÍS and Cadena SER, focused on the rise of far-right movements and their most violent side, premieres its second episode this Monday. Infiltrados en el gaming delves into how the world of video games is being used by neo-Nazi far-right movements, becoming a fertile ground for the recruitment and radicalization of young people, and how state security forces monitor content in online games to prevent the formation of terrorist cells.
It features testimonies from the National Police and CITCO (Intelligence Center against Terrorism and Organized Crime), as well as the participation of digital culture experts and video game programmers who analyze and delve into the effectiveness of recruitment strategies in a community-based and interactive environment, and the risks they pose to young people.
The third episode of the documentary series will move from the gaming environment to the streets and will focus on the Spanish case, with attention to the emergence of organizations such as Núcleo Nacional, recently registered as a political party.

La ola ultra is a project signed by journalist Belén Fernández, director Álvaro Rodríguez de la Rúa, and graphic designer Julia Jiménez, from the EL PAÍS Vídeo team, and features the participation of journalist Javier Bañuelos from Cadena SER.
