The car accident that revealed the presence of United States agents working in a security operation in Mexico has opened a front between the Chihuahua and federal governments. President Claudia Sheinbaum reported this Wednesday at a press conference that she has sent the Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, to meet with Governor Maru Campos to clarify the reasons behind this participation of foreign forces coordinated by a state administration and the United States Government, without the knowledge of the Executive or the Ministry of Defense. “There cannot be collaboration from a state government, particularly in security,” insisted the president, who assures that an investigation is underway to determine if there has been a violation of the Constitution and the National Security Law.
