Until a few hours ago it was raining in Madrid, but Rels B trusted that it would clear up just in time for the presentation of his new album, love love Flakk: “The sky is with us. See you at Plaza Mayor to listen to the full album,” wrote the Mallorcan artist on his social media hours before the collective listening. “In these times when everything is so instant, having your attention is a privilege,” he said just as he took the stage.
The event —scheduled for 9:30 p.m.— gathered hundreds of the musician’s fans surrounding the stage: a kind of fishbowl simulating a music studio from where Rels B played the 11 new songs, which will be available starting tomorrow, Friday. “It’s the best we’ve created,” said the artist about this project, which came as a “healing,” he admitted, “from spending six months in the Colombian nature.
With almost half an hour delay, the urban music rapper finally appeared and immediately Plaza Mayor filled with phones in the air. From the balconies and the bases of the street lamps, attendees also watched Rels B dance standing or sitting on a sofa to his new songs, at times with the Mallorca flag hanging around his neck. Meanwhile, the audience followed him word for word on the screens.
Contrary to what several attendees expected, Rels B did not sing. It was a listening party, in which the artist limited himself to commenting on and introducing each of the songs. One of the most emotional was the one he dedicated to his “beautiful mom” and which, according to him, is the album’s speech: I learned to say no. The event was held after the proclamation delivered by journalist Sonsoles Ónega at Plaza de la Villa, which marked the start of the San Isidro festivities.
With his last tour, A New Star World Tour, Rels B filled some of the most important venues in Spain and Latin America. In this new album, the musician shows himself in full personal and artistic maturity, in a creative manifesto that reviews the styles that have marked his career. The album pays special attention to the varied rhythms that make up the Afro musical universe, incorporating sounds ranging from afrobeat to more melodic and urban pop-like registers.
During the listening in Madrid, he also took the opportunity to announce his next live performance. Some of the songs from love love Flakk are scheduled to be played on July 4, when the artist will debut in the stadium concert format. The event will be at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano in Madrid, as the screen on the stage reminded moments before tonight’s performance. Tickets for that event range between 50 and 100 euros, although VIP areas reach 200. The Mallorcan returns less than a year after his successful Afrolova’25, with 11 new songs.
Daniel Heredia (Palma de Mallorca, 32 years old), a guy who started at 17 recording street musicians with a cheap device, has ended up becoming one of the most listened-to Spanish artists in urban music. With millions of streams thanks to songs like A mí or TU VAS SIN (fav), Rels B was the most listened-to Spanish artist abroad in 2025 —for the second consecutive year— according to Spotify, although he did not enter the list of the top 10 most played within Spain.
