Ömer Yurtseven, 27-year-old Turkish center standing 2.11m tall, is the new signing for Real Madrid until the end of the season following the injuries to Tavares and Len, who are unlikely to play for the remainder of the campaign. Yurtseven will only be able to compete in the Liga Endesa and not the Euroleague Final Four, as the registration deadline has already passed.
The Turkish center started this season with Panathinaikos before heading to the NBA with the Golden State Warriors and the G League. Previously, he played in Miami and Utah in the American league.

Tavares suffered an injury to the medial collateral ligament of his left knee in the first Euroleague quarterfinal match against Hapoel, a significant loss for the white team due to his importance, especially defensively. Shortly after, Alex Len was also sidelined with a problem in the plantar fascia of his left foot. The absence of these two giants leaves the burden of the white team’s interior play mainly on Usman Garuba, as well as Izan Almansa, who has had little participation in the Euroleague. Yurtseven will not be able to play in the Final Four, only in the domestic competition.
