The fight between two families in Puente de Vallecas ended this Sunday with a woman dying as a result of the stab wounds inflicted on her during the brawl. The victim is a 60-year-old woman who died at the Gregorio Marañón hospital. The police have arrested four people accused of tumultuous fighting, although the person who stabbed the woman who ended up dying has not yet been arrested, as confirmed by police sources.

The fight broke out this Sunday after eight in the evening between Sierra de la Estrella and Puerto Alto streets, in the Puente de Vallecas district. Members of two families from the area, of Roma ethnicity, began to argue for a reason that is still under investigation, but which could be related to a dispute within a marriage, according to initial hypotheses.
Words turned into physical violence and also to the use of knives. Most of those involved are women who met on the street and started the argument. As a result of the brawl, several people had to be treated for deep wounds and cuts, and two of the women were taken by their own relatives to the Gregorio Marañón hospital.

The woman who ended up dying was 60 years old. Another woman from the same family, 43 years old, remains hospitalized in the same center although her life is not feared, according to police sources. Other injured from the rival family have been treated at the 12 de Octubre hospital. In both centers, the police have deployed a device for incident prevention and custody of the detainees.
The Homicide Group VI is investigating the events to clarify the role played by each of those involved in the deadly brawl and also to find the person who stabbed the deceased. For now, there are four detainees charged with the crime of tumultuous fighting. They are two women, one of them 65 years old, and two men aged 47 and 34.
