The e-commerce giant Amazon earned 92.902 billion dollars between January and June this year (80.588 billion euros), which meant a 163% increase in its profits compared to the same semester of 2025, the American tech company indicated in a statement reported by EFE.
The company also reported that its total revenue in the last six months was 382.125 billion dollars (331.475 billion euros), an 18% increase year-on-year.
Amazon’s president and CEO, Andy Jassy, highlighted in this statement the performance of its cloud computing platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS), which grew 36.7% in the second quarter, as well as its artificial intelligence (AI) and chip businesses, each exceeding an annual revenue projection of more than 25 billion dollars.

Between March and June, the quarter most closely watched by Wall Street, the company’s profit was 62.647 billion dollars, a 244% increase, and revenue rose 20% to 200.606 billion.
On the other hand, the company disclosed that e-commerce sales in North America grew 16% during these three months, reaching 116.177 billion dollars, while sales in the rest of the world increased 14%, reaching 42.197 billion.
Meanwhile, its advertising business generated 19.809 billion dollars, 26% more than in the same period of 2025. Amazon’s results exceeded analysts’ expectations, and in after-hours trading following Wall Street’s close, its shares rose 8.55%.
