For her part, Belinda chose to pay homage to the culture of the pachucos with her outfits, wearing the classic hat and an adaptation of the wide suit characteristic of Mexican-Americans from the border with the United States, who adopted it as a seal of identity; in Mexico, this style was popularized by the comedian Germán Valdés, better known as Tin-Tan.

The track marks the second collaboration between the artists after Amor a Primera Vista, which since its release in 2019 has accumulated more than 450 million streams. The cumbia has also been recognized by the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI), as well as the Lo Nuestro Awards. “What an honor for us to share again with our friend Belinda in this cumbia,” Los Ángeles Azules shared on social media. The singer is also part of the World Cup fever with a song with Manuel Mijares and Emmanuel for the snack brand Sabritas, which was released on social media.

Por Ella is the second release from the official FIFA album for the World Cup, following the March release of Lighter, the first single by Carín León and American rapper Jelly Roll. This first release, produced by Canadian Cirkut, combines verses in Spanish and English as part of FIFA’s goal to build bridges between languages and cultures towards the tournament, with a sound leaning towards country vibes. So far, the rest of the artists who will be part of the official World Cup album have not been revealed, although FIFA has indicated that the project will seek to reflect the musical diversity of the 48 participating teams. In previous editions, the repertoire has included names such as Ricky Martin, Shakira, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, Nicky Jam, Will Smith, Era Istrefi, Trinidad Cardona, Davido, and Aisha.
