The Motorcycle World Championship made its stop this weekend at the Italian Grand Prix. The Mugello circuit hosted the race this Sunday in which Marco Bezzecchi, the championship leader, won again after starting from pole. The Italian finished ahead of his Aprilia teammate, Jorge Martín, and extends his lead in the standings. The Madrid rider remains second in the World Championship, 17 points behind the leader. Aprilia’s dominance at the start of the championship was shown once again this weekend, where Ducati was once again surpassed, this time at home. Pecco Bagnaia managed to get back on the podium with a good third place, and Marc Márquez, who returned 20 days after a new operation and achieved a meritorious fifth place in Saturday’s sprint won by Raúl Fernández, finished seventh.

As we said, Marco Bezzecchi comes out strengthened from this race and remains at the top of the MotoGP riders’ ranking with a 17-point lead over Jorge Martín and 39 over Fabio di Giannantonio.
Pedro Acosta and Marc Márquez, who have protagonized the most interesting duel of the race, must finally settle for 6th and 7th respectively.
