The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a man in Tarragona accused of four thefts, including the tips from several establishments, and of a robbery with violence and intimidation. According to the Catalan police on Sunday, the 39-year-old man was arrested last Thursday and acted in three establishments in Tarragona and one in Cambrils.
The first incident dates back to July 7, when an unknown person entered a premises on Mallorca street in Tarragona and stole cash, a handbag, and a wallet, as well as other personal belongings of their owners.

On July 29, the thief acted again in an establishment on Mossèn Salvador Ritort i Faus street in the same city, where, taking advantage of the workers’ distraction, he also took the cash contained in the tip jar.
On August 4, the owner of a shop on Falset street was assaulted by the same person when fleeing with the container of a charity that contained bills and coins.

Although the container was recovered, the unknown person managed to leave the place after stealing his mobile phone, so he has been charged with robbery with violence and intimidation.
On August 8, the thief acted again in another establishment on Lleida street in the city of Tarragona, where he stole cash and also a fanny pack with credit cards, personal documents, and the keys to a home.
Finally, on August 11 at 1:30 p.m., the suspect entered a premises located on the San Juan Bautista de la Salle promenade in Cambrils, where again, taking advantage of the workers’ distraction, he took the jar with money from the customers’ tips.
In most cases, the actions were recorded by the security system cameras of the affected establishments. The detainee, who has a dozen police records, was brought before the investigating court on duty in Tarragona on August 15.
