Ten workers have been injured, one of them in critical condition and another seriously, due to carbon monoxide poisoning in the hold of a ship that was at the inflammable dock of the port of Barcelona, the Medical Emergency System (SEM) has reported.
According to the Port of Barcelona, the events occurred around midnight on Friday, when a work accident was reported on a ship, Ocean Euphrosine, which had unloaded vegetable oils and was operating at the Energy dock.

Nine teams from the Barcelona Firefighters, Civil Guard personnel, Port Police, and SEM responded to the scene, attending to a total of 19 people. The critically injured person was transferred to the Clínic hospital; and the seriously injured to Moisès Broggi.
