The International Logistics Exhibition expects to attract 15,000 visitors and 600 exhibiting companies

The 2026 edition of the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) is expected to have 15,000 visitors and 600 exhibiting companies, as well as 250 professional speakers, figures similar to last year. This was explained by the general director of the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), Blanca Sorigué, at a press conference this Thursday, alongside the executive president, Pere Navarro, to present the event, which will be held from June 3 to 5 at the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona.

Sorigué detailed that, of the total participating companies, 31% are dedicated to transport services, 28% to intralogistics, and 20% to logistics services. The general director added that the exhibition will be divided into seven knowledge areas with “many new features and data that demonstrate the health and strength of the logistics sector.”

She explained that the organization’s intention was to make the visit “as efficient as possible” for participants, and that this has been achieved through the digital part of the exhibition, which the general director described as very important.

The main novelty this year will be the SIL Lab, a space to showcase innovations and do networking, and Sorigué emphasized the intention that these innovations “are seen in action.” Additionally, the event will host six international sessions, an investor day, and a Job Market, organized together with Barcelona Activa.

Impact of 50 million

Asked by the press about the economic return of the exhibition, Navarro said the estimate is about 50 million euros during the event, although he noted that the “final calculation is complicated” since SIL has an impact throughout the year. The executive president highlighted that SIL is a space for finding solutions: “The most important thing will be the need to generate solutions.”

Furthermore, Navarro explained that most sectors focus on the challenges they face, but in logistics “the emphasis must be on solutions to these challenges.” “For logistics, it is very important to anticipate what happens,” said Navarro, adding that at the exhibition, demonstrations of innovation in the sector can be seen.
