The Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating a shooting that occurred after a fight between two groups during the early hours of Sunday in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona. The incident took place on the same street where last Thursday a man was killed with a knife, allegedly attacked by his partner’s boyfriend. The case adds to the list of firearm incidents recorded in the Catalan capital in recent months. On Friday, the Barcelona Urban Guard arrested two individuals accused of having shot at another during a brawl in the Raval neighborhood.

This Sunday, according to a note from the Efe agency citing police sources, the Mossos received a call at 4:50 a.m. Reporting a fight between two groups on Almansa street, in Nou Barris.
At one point in the scuffle, one of the participants drew a weapon and fired several shots, with no reports so far of any injuries.
In fact, according to police sources, there is no record of anyone having been admitted to a hospital since then with gunshot wounds.

The participants in the fight fled the scene in a hurry and left two vehicles in the area, which the Mossos officers will analyze to try to find any clues that help identify those involved.
The Mossos d’Esquadra have opened an investigation to clarify the facts, for which there are currently no arrests.
Precisely, the shooting occurred on the same street where last Thursday a man died after being attacked with a knife, allegedly by his partner’s boyfriend, who was arrested hours later. On that occasion, the police found a person lying on Almansa street. It was a man, who was already badly injured while riding a motorcycle, and collapsed on the public road. Still alive, the victim was taken seriously injured to the Vall d’Hebron hospital, where he eventually died. The alleged perpetrator was remanded in custody without bail by order of the judge on Saturday.
