Susanna Griso and Luis Enríquez Nistal experienced one of the most important days of their lives on July 25. The couple, who began their relationship in January 2025, said “I do,” surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues who did not want to miss the event held at the La Gavina hotel in S’Agaró, on the Costa Brava. As the presenter of Espejo Público had announced, there was no exclusive signed and, after the ceremony, they would pose for the media attending the venue. But what promised to be a happy day and a lifelong memory has ended up becoming meme material and criticism on social networks. All because of the styling chosen by the media executive and the serious expression he shows in some of the released images.
At weddings, one of the best-kept secrets is the look of the bride and groom. For example, almost a month after their wedding, it is still unknown how Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were dressed. In this case, Griso had already revealed that it was an informal wedding without a dress code. She chose a bohemian dress designed by the Cortana brand; he opted for a pink guayabera, light pants, and brown loafers. An option that did not convince everyone and has sparked jokes on social networks, despite being a garment that is stylistically considered appropriate for this type of informal event. Taking advantage of the images, many users have also created memes judging their happiness on the big day due to the seriousness of his face. Nistal, for his part, was quick to respond to the criticism through his official X profile.

The presenter’s husband has regretted that the memes have overshadowed the wedding, but above all, that his happiness on his big day is questioned. “The only thing that pisses me off about this big mess I’ve caused is having given the opposite impression of what I thought and felt. Since a photo can’t be the only thing that matters (and this intimate wedding is anything but) here is what I said, which is what I think. That’s it,” he posted on X on Monday, July 27.
“Getting married for the second time is complicated. The first time, the couple goes alone, the parents give them away, they go with empty backpacks. We are going to build on two cathedrals, two wonderful families, who are happy, who have been and will be. We don’t come alone, we come with eight. So what we are celebrating today is a monument to generosity,” began the speech Nistal gave before the more than 200 guests present at the wedding.

Before starting their relationship, the presenter and the executive had maintained a close relationship for years. “With more distance, less distance, we have been telling each other everything. We have accompanied each other, we have taken care of each other,” he said. It was journalist David Gistau who reunited them in 2024, after Griso broke off her relationship with Íñigo Afán de Ribera. “Since he saw we weren’t aware of anything, he sent Romina to drag me to Susanna’s party on December 20, 2024,” he explained. A month later, “they looked at each other differently” and gave love a chance.

He added: “It’s a moment of contradictions because Susanna and I had been saying for years that we would never get married again.” In December 2020, Griso’s divorce from Carles Torras was made public; she had been married to him for 23 years and they have four children together: Jan, Mireia, Dorcette — whom she adopted in Ivory Coast — and Koudus, a young Ghanaian she took in who is now one more in her family. As for Nistal, he is the father of four children from a previous marriage.
“It’s a monument to love. I’m talking about a love that gives you 10, 11… A love in which, on the way to the inn, we kiss at every lamppost; one in which the end of the world always finds us dancing… In short, I’m talking about a love in which every night is a wedding night,” he concluded his speech.
