The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and 12 regional leaders of the party will support this Monday the president of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, during an informative breakfast in Madrid, one day before the Ceutan leader travels to Brussels to discuss with officials from European institutions the situation of the autonomous city, according to sources from the party.
Feijóo will be in charge of introducing Vivas from 9:00 in a conference attended by the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno; the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso; the president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda; the president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras; the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Juanfran Pérez Llorca; and the president of Melilla, Juan José Imbroda. Also present will be the vice president of the Government of Aragón, Mar Vaquero; the president of the Basque PP, Javier de Andrés; the president of the Catalan PP, Alejandro Fernández; the president of the Castilla-La Mancha PP, Paco Núñez; and the president of the Asturias PP, Álvaro Queipo.
They will all be joined by the full PP Steering Committee, led by the secretary general, Miguel Tellado, and also formed by the deputy secretaries Alma Ezcurra, Cuca Gamarra, Elías Bendodo, Juan Bravo, Carmen Fúnez, Alberto Nadal, Borja Sémper, and Jaime de los Santos. The event will take place one day before Vivas’s trip to Brussels, where on Tuesday he will be received by the European Commissioners for Interior and Migration, Magnus Brunner, and the Mediterranean portfolio holder, Dubravka Suica, with the aim of addressing the situation of the autonomous city after the migration crisis, described by the PP as an “unprecedented invasion.”
