Ivana Rodríguez, sister of Georgina, winner of ‘Top Chef: Sweets and Celebrities’

Content creator Ivana Rodríguez, sister of Georgina Rodríguez and therefore sister-in-law of Cristiano Ronaldo, has been the winner of the first edition of Top Chef: Sweets and Celebrities. The culinary contest on La 1 ended this Wednesday crowning its winner in a final where singer Roi Méndez finished in second place and collaborator Belén Esteban took third place. Benita Castejón and Samantha Ballentines, who had also reached the final, were eliminated earlier.

The influencer won 100,000 euros to donate to a charitable cause. She chose El ángel de Javi, one of the few cases in Spain of children with Nedamss disease.

The initial test of the final consisted of replicating the first creations they had made during their journey on the show so that the jury (composed of Eva Arguiñano, Paco Roncero, and Osvaldo Gross) could verify their progress in the contest. Benita Castejón, who joined when the program was already halfway through the broadcast, was the first eliminated.

The second challenge of the night was to prepare a vintage cake on a stand. For this, they had to bake two cakes, one larger and one smaller, which they then cut in half, glued together, and placed vertically. In this case, the eliminated contestant was the drag Samantha Ballentines, who only presented one part of the cake.

In the third test, they had to replicate a structure with three cubes using three types of chocolate: white, dark, and milk. The jury decided that the eliminated contestant was Belén Esteban and that the final duel would be between Roi Méndez and Ivana Rodríguez.

The final was decided after the two finalists cooked an assortment of 25 pastries. Beforehand, the two duelists received encouragement from their families through a message. On Ivana’s side, it was her sister Georgina Rodríguez who dedicated some words to her. “Hello, my dear sister. You have worked so hard and seeing you there is the greatest gift for us,” she said. “We are super proud of you and we can’t wait for you to delight us with your baking.” Roi was moved by the message sent by his grandparents.

The last episode of Top Chef: Sweets and Celebrities reached a 9.7% audience share and gathered an average of 616,000 viewers. The show has achieved an average audience share of 10.2%, below the current average for La 1, which in April so far is 11.2%.
