Darrell Sheets, star of the television show ¿Quién da más? (Storage Wars in its original version), died at 67 in Arizona, authorities reported this Wednesday.

According to a statement, officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department (Mohave, Arizona) responded around 2:00 local time (11:00 in Spain) to a report of a deceased person. “Upon arrival, officers found a man with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” the statement, reported by Variety magazine, reads. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and was later identified as Darrell Sheets by the Mohave County medical examiner.
According to authorities, the incident remains under investigation. Sheets, nicknamed The Gambler (The Player), rose to fame on Storage Wars, a show where he collaborated for 13 years. Finally, in 2023, he retired and opened an antique shop in Arizona called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.

The A&E channel program, still on air and which in Spain has been seen on different pay and free-to-air broadcasters, follows real professional buyers who bid on abandoned storage units in the US without knowing their contents. In the state of California, if the rent for these spaces is not paid for three months, their contents can be sold at auction.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Darrell The Gambler Sheets, a beloved member of our Storage Wars family. Our condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time,” an A&E spokesperson said in a statement to national media.
