The Rodalies service on line R3, in the section between La Garriga (Barcelona) and Ripoll (Girona), is suspended this Saturday due to a copper cable theft, Renfe has reported. The technicians of the railway manager Adif are working this morning on the replacement of the copper wiring in the theft area to be able to resume service in the coming hours.
As a result of this theft, train traffic on line R3 is, by sections, as follows: the service between L’Hospitalet and Montcada i Reixac is replaced by line R4 trains, which share the route in that section; between Montcada and Ripoll, by bus, and from Ripoll to Puigcerdà/La Tour de Querol, also by bus.
Meanwhile, the first trains of line R1, in the section between El Masnou and Mataró, have also been unable to run due to the proximity of a fire to the tracks. This morning, the trains have already resumed service in that area.
Tonight, between 22:00 and 06:00 hours, due to infrastructure maintenance, the R1 service between Blanes and Maçanet-Massanes will be provided by road. On the R2 Sud, there are two trains per hour and direction between Sant Vicenç de Calders and Garraf due to improvement works on the infrastructure between Garraf and Sitges.
On line R4, there is a complementary road service between Terrassa-Estació del Nord and Manresa, while on R8 there is also an alternative bus service between Martorell Central and Rubí Can Vallhonrat.
The R11 provides train service throughout the route, from Barcelona Sants to Portbou, while on R13, R14, R16, and R17 there is alternative road service between Sant Vicenç de Calders and El Prat due to infrastructure works between Garraf and Sitges.
On R14, between Riba-roja d’Ebre and Reus there are also alternative services with intermediate stops, while on RT1, RT2, RL3, and RL4 there is rail service.
