A patrol boat of the Customs Surveillance Service (SVA) of Almería was rammed by a drug-running speedboat during a chase last night in waters off the coast of Almería. No officials were injured in the incident.

According to sources from the Tax Agency, the suspicious speedboat was loaded with fuel cans. During the operation, the crew of the drug-running speedboat managed to escape using another inflatable support boat. The SVA patrol boat suffered a broken window, while the seized speedboat ultimately could not be towed to port.
