Almost 200 people queue outside the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona on this hot Friday afternoon. They want to secure a good spot to see the first of the four concerts that Aitana will offer in the Catalan capital this weekend. The artist from Sant Climent de Llobregat (Barcelona) resumes the world tour that started in May. After a month of vacation, she takes the microphone again. And the long-awaited appointment this Friday has already gathered the most loyal fans in front of the door of the Montjuïc mountain pavilion. Many of them have been queuing since early in the day, but Clàudia Tarruella (23 years old), Teo Llorenç (19), and Kilian García (21) have been in front of the venue since Wednesday to be able to see their favorite artist up close. The sacrifice has been worth it; they are the first in line. The three friends hope to interact with her: “After two days of queuing, we just want her to look at us for a second.”

The Cuarto Azul World Tour is the first international tour of the Catalan artist. Previously, she had toured the Spanish territory up to five times. But for the fans, this time is special. Besides promoting her latest studio album, Cuarto Azul, Aitana has put together a show in which she interacts with the audience. For Tarruella, Llorenç, and García, this is the most exciting part of the event: “If we get any of the interaction moments, we are already happy.”
To achieve this, they have spent two nights sleeping in front of the venue: “The first night was very cold, there were mosquitoes, and we barely slept an hour,” they explain. For them, it is worth it. They have admired her since her beginnings in Operación Triunfo (OT), became friends thanks to uploading fan content on social media, and have already shared more than 12 concerts. They are superfans. García even has underwear with Aitana’s face on it and, of course, wears it for this occasion.
Also in line is Judith Porcar, 18 years old. She has been waiting since eight in the morning for the doors to open. For her, this concert is very special: “It is to make physical something I have listened to for months,” she says referring to the latest released songs. Porcar explains that she has been a fan of Aitana’s music since she appeared on OT. Her mother liked the show since the first season in 2001, and she became a fan thanks to watching the contest with her: “My mother told me: ‘They are going to do OT again,’ and we watched it together.” This is the first time she is not going to an artist’s concert with her mother: “Until I was of legal age, I went to all the concerts with her; I accompanied her to those of her generation, and she came to those of mine.”
The last concert in Barcelona will be next Tuesday, September 8. Then it will be Madrid and Bilbao’s turn. The tour will not end until February 2027, in Paris.
