The series adapts the novel of the same name by Ángeles Mastretta, with Catalina Aguilar Mastretta, the writer’s daughter, leading the adaptation, direction, and production. Renata Vaca plays Emilia Sauri, who will also be caught between two men: Daniel Cuenca (Juan Pablo Fuentes), an adventurer and revolutionary who is part of her childhood memories, and Antonio Zavalza (Iván Amozurrutia), a doctor who bets on peace amid the war context.
