Marc Márquez has gone slightly wide and it feels like the reigning MotoGP champion isn’t too comfortable on the bike today. He is now a second and a half behind Pedro Acosta, and we’ll have to see if his situation changes in this race because there’s still a long way to go.

Let’s review the starting positions of the other Spanish riders we haven’t mentioned yet. Joan Mir starts in 13th place, Iker Lecuona, who is racing today in place of Alex Márquez, starts in 16th position, Alex Rins in 20th, and Maverick Viñales in 21st.
Francesco Bagnaia, who starts in 5th position today, has finished on the podium in his last two MotoGP races and could achieve three in a row for the first time since April 2025, when he linked podiums in the Grand Prix of the Americas, Qatar, and Spain.
ALDEGUER, BAD MEMORIES AT BALATON PARK. The rider from Murcia has finished in the points zone in his last eight MotoGP races, his best historical streak in the premier class. The KTM rider was second last year in the Hungarian Grand Prix, and Balaton Park could be the second circuit where he achieves two podiums in his first two MotoGP career races after the Algarve International Circuit (3rd in 2024 and 2025) and the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit (2nd in 2024 and 2025).
WEEKEND OF MANY DOUBTS FOR APRILIA. After storming Mugello last weekend, it seems that the Aprilias are not as competitive on this circuit, and Pedro Acosta emerges as the main alternative to Marc Márquez’s dominance. The ‘Shark’ from Mazarrón starts the race in second position and was also second in the Sprint yesterday.
