This Monday, August 31, the new television season began, with the return of Ana Rosa Quintana to Telecinco and Susanna Griso to Antena 3. El programa de Ana Rosa although it did not lead, returned solidly to Telecinco, after a summer absent from the screen, with a 13.7% average share. Espejo público recovered its main presenter with an 11.4% share. This is a figure below the average of Antena 3, which was the leading channel of the day (12.8%) and in the month of August (11.9%). Precisely, its live morning and afternoon magazines (that of Y ahora, Sonsoles) are the weak points of the daily programming of Atresmedia’s main channel.

The show that continues to stand out in that morning slot is the controversial En boca de todos by Nacho Abad, which reaches no less than 9.3% average screen share on Cuatro. On the other hand, Aruser@s on La Sexta, which until recently reached the highest audience shares of the entire morning, continues to fall in audiences to 8.9%. August returns to normal

Once the Football World Cup and its great figures for La 1 have passed, television returns to normal and Antena 3 recovers the leadership, being the most watched channel in the country. It grows half a point compared to July by registering an 11.9% share, points out the analysis by Dos30′.

La 1 loses the first position by falling 7.3 points compared to July, now without sporting events. But the public channel remains strong, registering its best August since 2012 with an 11.5% share.

On the other hand, Telecinco remains far behind these two channels and records only a 7.8% share for the whole month, just two points ahead of Cuatro (5.8%) and just four points ahead of La 2 (3.8%). La Sexta again ranks behind its main competitor, Cuatro, achieving 5.2% in August, confirming the sorpasso that occurred months ago. Mediaset’s second channel, in fact, achieves its best August in the last nine years.
