Sumar will ask the Ombudsman to investigate communities that refuse to host immigrant minors
The leader of Movimiento Sumar Verónica Barbero announced this Saturday that her organization will demand the Ombudsman to “investigate and act against the autonomous communities that refuse to host immigrant minors” after the massive entry to Ceuta on July 30 and 31. “The reception of girls, boys and adolescents is an obligation established in our country’s legislation,” recalled the spokesperson of the group in Congress during the opening speech of the party’s leadership meeting, which held its last assembly in summer.

Rego estimates 2,100 migrant children in Ceuta and requests their transfer to the Peninsula
The Minister of Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego, estimated this Saturday about 2,100 registered migrant children remaining in Ceuta, including 700 girls, and requested their transfer to the Peninsula to alleviate the situation endured by the autonomous city. Prison for two Moroccan migrants for attacking soldiers in Ceuta
A court in Ceuta has ordered the preventive detention of two Moroccan migrants, who have been in the city since July 30 and 31, for having assaulted two soldiers, one from La Legión and another from Regulares. The two migrants have been placed in preventive detention awaiting trial after not admitting the facts that would have allowed an expulsion order and facing prison sentences exceeding four years, according to judicial sources.
The one identified as A.E.O. has been imprisoned for an alleged crime of assault and injuries, after, on the night of last Sunday, on Avenida Virgen de África, he fled in front of a military patrol whose members ordered him to stop for identification. During the escape, he attacked a Regulares soldier causing a shoulder dislocation and damage to an elbow.
The Prosecutor requests six years in prison, three for each of the crimes he is related to, in addition to the payment of 4,587 euros for the injuries caused to the Regulares member. On the other hand, the Moroccan named A.A.T. has been imprisoned, who was in the Tarajal warehouses when, when requested by legionaries, he attacked two of them with pepper spray. (Efe)

The first indications point to the fire being accidental and due to a fight between two of the migrants in one of the shacks that caused some candles they had inside to fall to the ground. This situation caused the flames, which spread quickly also due to the nearby presence of some tires that caused a large smoke cloud, which motivated the quick evacuation of this area.
