This Wednesday, April 29, it was Lamas himself who confirmed his relationship with Locklear in an interview with Fox News. “I’ve been through many trials and errors, and she is the most incredible woman I have ever met,” publicly acknowledged the star of the iconic ad for the blanket and textile brand Reig Marti, whose unforgettable slogan was: “Lorenzo Lamas, the king of beds.”
Lamas and Locklear met more than four decades ago, while posing together —she in a bikini and he in swim trunks— for the cover of PlayGirl magazine. On December 4, the actor rescued that cover on his X profile — where he is followed by 692,000 people —. “I can’t believe this was 43 years ago! By the way, speedos only by request,” he wrote alongside the photo. However, the actor who also had a small role in Grease clarified in the new interview that he never thought a love story could arise between them. “The short answer is no,” he assured.
According to him, faith has been decisive in helping him find what he defines as “true love”: “With Jesus Christ in your life, you can achieve anything. These statements come days after he and Locklear made their first public appearance as a couple at the Chiller Theatre Expo, a horror and science fiction convention held in New Jersey on April 26. The actors appeared smiling and affectionate in front of the cameras, posing embraced and perfectly coordinated in black.
According to TMZ, the nineties stars have been dating since late 2025 and spent New Year’s Eve together in Las Vegas. Additionally, sources close to the couple told the American outlet that the adult children of both, from previous relationships, met around that time. Locklear had a daughter, Ava (28 years old), with guitarist Richie Sambora, to whom she was married from 1994 to 2007. Previously, she was married to musician Tommy Lee — from 1986 to 1993 — and was also engaged for five years to former motorcycle racer Chris Heisser, from whom she separated in 2025.
Lamas’s love history is more complicated. The actor has six children in total. AJ, 42, and Shayne, 40, are from his relationship with the late publicist Michele Smith, to whom he was married from 1983 to 1985.
