Santiago Pedraz, investigating magistrate of the Leire case at the National Court, has ordered the PSOE this Wednesday to hand over all the information recorded in its “entry log” at the national headquarters in Ferraz regarding several individuals implicated in the alleged plot devised “to destabilize” judicial proceedings opened against the party, as well as about people they may have had contact with. The judge wants to know if, among others, the businessman Javier Pérez Dolset; Joseba Antxon Alonso, owner of the company Servinabar and friend of Santos Cerdán, who was the party’s Secretary of Organization; retired commissioner José Manuel Villarejo; Sandro Rosell, former president of Fútbol Club Barcelona; Francisco Martínez, former PP deputy and former Secretary of State for Security under Mariano Rajoy; Nervis Villalobos, former Venezuelan deputy minister; and the businesswoman Carmen Pano and her driver, visited the socialist headquarters.
The document delivered at the party headquarters, where the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard appeared early in the morning, reflects the extensive range of data requested by the magistrate. The judge wants that, if these people appear in the access log, the PSOE communicates to him “the day and time (both entry and exit)” from Ferraz, as well as everything it has about the “subject or reason for the visit,” the “companions,” the “identity of the person in charge of reception,” and “any other information recorded.”
In total, Pedraz requests information recorded about 26 people. In addition to those mentioned, he demands data in the log about Cerdán (from 2021 to the present); Vicente Fernández, former president of SEPI (State Society of Industrial Participations); Leire Díez, former socialist member and the center of the case; Juan Manuel Serrano, former president of Correos; lawyers Jacobo Teijelo (who defends Cerdán in the investigation at the National Court for the alleged rigging of public works) and José Aníbal Álvarez (who had José Luis Ábalos, former Minister of Transport under Pedro Sánchez, as a client in the mask case).
Furthermore, according to the resolution issued by the judge, Pedraz has “authorized” the UCO agents so that, “if during the course of the procedure, other persons of interest related to the investigated facts are identified, information about them may be requested under the same terms as the previous ones.”
Emails
The instructor’s request for information is much broader. The magistrate has also demanded that the PSOE deliver the “full” content of the email inboxes and digital folders of “network storage” used by Cerdán; Ana María Fuentes, party manager; Covadonga San Pedro, employee with administrative functions; Celia Rodríguez, worker of the Organization Secretariat; Ion Antolín, former Communications Director; and those “associated with the Management” of the party.
Pedraz has also requested the information recorded in the vehicle access log for four cars linked to Leire Díez and Vicente Fernández. Also, a “detailed list of advertising campaigns commissioned and contracts made” to journalist Patricia López (now deceased) and the company Grupo Crónica Libre “during 2024 and 2025”; as well as the “full documentation submitted to the Catalonia Audit Office or the Court of Auditors” regarding the “advertising campaign” for the May 2024 regional elections, won by Salvador Illa, current president of the Generalitat.
After this measure became known, the Catalan socialists issued a statement: “The PSC has at all times respected electoral legislation and acted with full transparency.” “All documentation related to the 2024 electoral campaign is deposited at the Audit Office. And it has been the subject of the corresponding report. We have gathered all the information to be made available to the judiciary. We have collaborated, collaborate, and will collaborate with judicial authorities in everything necessary. We also want to emphasize that the order contains no statement linking the Catalan electoral campaign with the investigated facts,” the party added.
In turn, among other data, Pedraz has requested from the PSOE all the “information” and “documentation” it holds about “commercial relations maintained” between 2024 and 2025 by the party with the indicted lawyers Jacobo Teijelo and Ismael Oliver; and with Gaspar Zarrías, former vice president of the Andalusian Government.
