The mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista (PP), spoke to the media for less than 10 minutes without admitting questions. In front of the Madrid municipality’s Town Hall, the mayor completely avoided accusations of sexual and workplace harassment by a former councilor from his own party and lashed out at the government of Pedro Sánchez and the Socialist Party, whom he accuses of a “witch hunt” against him: “The PSOE accuses me of a falsehood. And I say it without any doubt.” Five days ago, Móstoles’s Court number 2 for Violence against Women admitted the complaint filed by the former popular councilor against Bautista and the PP, to whom she went before going to court and where she was pressured not to report. The mayor has not alluded to this or to the recent published information at any time and has insisted that he does not have the complaint document.
