The events occurred on August 30, when several people traveling by bus between the cities of Benidorm and Madrid witnessed an argument between two men, one of whom made threats and brandished a large machete. The reason for the fight, which continued near Plaza de Castilla upon the bus’s arrival, was a bottle of alcohol that the aggressors claimed had been stolen from them by another passenger.

The armed man, accompanied by three other people, fled the scene. However, alerted by witnesses, several police units later located a group of people in the Tetuán district matching the characteristics provided by the complainants.
