The support measure, effective until next June 30, consists of a secondment by which a judge assumes the ordinary functioning of the judicial body, so that the presiding judge can dedicate herself exclusively to the instruction of the preliminary proceedings 692/2024. The Permanent Commission of the governing body of judges and magistrates of the Valencian Community has adopted this agreement after the judge extended the instruction period of the procedure for another six months, starting next April 30, with a favorable report from the Public Prosecutor’s Office and without opposition from any of the parties.
In parallel with the proposal to extend the judicial reinforcement, the government secretary will initiate the appropriate procedures with the Ministry of Justice to ensure that the Justice Administration lawyer (LAJ) assigned as reinforcement to that case is extended in her functions for another six months.
Finally, the Governing Chamber of the TSJCV highlights in its agreement today the “special significance” that the continuity of staff reinforcements has for the “proper functioning” of this judicial body. In this regard, in view of the statement recently issued by the Ministry of Justice, it trusts that the “necessary measures will be taken to guarantee such continuity, preferably by maintaining the same personnel, avoiding interruptions from June 30.”
