The number two of the Department of the Interior, Tomàs Carrión, has resigned from his position as secretary general of the Department. Carrión arrived at the Department of the Interior hand in hand with Parlon, directly from Santa Coloma de Gramenet. Together they were part of a team that the councilor recruited from the City Council where she was mayor for more than 14 years. To replace Carrión, the Department has proposed the appointment of Joana Ricardo Hoyos, who until now served as director general of security administration. Ricardo, also linked to the City Council of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, holds a law degree and has a master’s in Public Management and Leadership. A career civil servant of the local administration, she has a long trajectory in the public sector and administrative law, according to the curriculum disseminated by the Department of the Interior.
